AACR 2022 begins tomorrow (April 8) and runs through April 13th. "The AACR Annual Meeting is the focal point of the cancer research community, where scientists, clinicians, other health care professionals, survivors, patients, and advocates gather to share the latest advances in cancer science and medicine." (https://www.aacr.org/meeting/aacr-annual-meeting-2022/). AACR 2022 is taking place online and in New Orleans, and a handful of smid-cap biopharma companies found on BPIQ.com are presenting clinical data this year.
While many companies are presenting preclinical data or non-clinical data, there are several companies that are presenting clinical trial data. See Table 1 which highlights these smid-cap biopharma companies presenting at AACR 2022. Multiple companies are presenting data from ongoing basket trials, and other cancers to be highlighted include glioblastoma, multiple myeloma, and head & neck cancers. All companies in this list are presenting data from Phase 1 or 2 trials, but GLSI will also be presenting their Phase 3 trial design.
AACR differs from ASCO in this aspect because of the higher prevalence of preclinical or nonclinical data presented at AACR, while many ASCO presentations focus on late stage clinical trials. Last year, many companies saw large stock changes when ASCO abstracts were announced, as well as during the medical conference. Keep an eye out on BPIQ.com for updates leading up to ASCO where we will focus on those companies reporting important data and which may be Big Movers for June.
